Default Slight problem..

Hey, guys, hoping you can help me out a bit.

I've recently polished the car by hand with P21S Cleansing Lotion, which i then followed with the P21S Concours wax. It came up really nice, but when i was removing some light rain spots (don't you hate that after you detail it?), i noticed the microfiber cloth was leaving a trail. You could see the imprint of the cloth's texture. If i worked it for a bit, it would disappear, but i found if i ran the cloth (even lightly) over any area, the same would happen. And i'd find myself going over the whole car again looking for these spots. You can only see it in sun and from certain angles. Perhaps i haven't worked it into the top coat enough? I hope i explained it clearly..

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Huy

Sounds like there is some excess wax that hasn't been removed.

Are you using a clean MF?

Have you tried running over it with a warm damp cloth?

Maybe even give it a very light (but proper) wash to try and remove the excess.

Did you remove the Paint Cleansing Lotion before applying the Wax?
As Brendan said, are they new/clean Microfibre Cloths? Are they FI Microfibre Cloths?

Have you tried one damp cloth (water) followed by one dry cloth?

Yeah, I removed the lotion and then applied the wax with an applicator. A new microfiber was used for each process. They're the Aquatouch cloths.

I haven't tried a wet cloth. I'll give it a shot!

Thanks.

What does the damp cloth do? I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

Provided the cloths are split yarn, they will use capilary action when wet.
I can't provide much more troubleshooting becuase I haven't used Aquatouch Microfibre for paint for a long time.

Try the wet followed by dry method, it shoudl solve yoru problems, hope this helps,

d.
