I hope i didn't miss it mentioned in this thread, but was wondering how much would you charge to apply this product as part of a detail at your shop (ballpark only, i realise the amounts of plastics differ greatly between cars), or will it be included in any of the standard details?? Hoping to get my car booked in in the next couple of months.

Can i confirm Damo the kit is $195 but its a $75 option on a detail? Quite a large disparity there if thats not a typo? I only ask as i've posted details on the Barina and Opel forums where they loved the difference it made on my bumpers etc but as soon as the price came out the first comment was that you might as well colour code your bumpers for a bit extra.

No typo. One of the reasons we offer the application for far less is becuase we want to push the service, yes, we actually use more in material cost than the option is charged out to, and before adding in the labour component as well. The actual product is sold, wether any of our customers beleive it or not, at our cost. Again, like No, there is NO WAY you will ever be able to paint your plastics on your barina SRI for 'a little' extra. It cost me $2K to do my Cooper S and a friend $1,800 for an average quality job on his Barina and that was many years ago. The labour component to dissassemble, rub the texture back, prime (properly, with quality flexible plastic primer), paint, bake (oven), re-assemble etc. plus materials, paint (base), clear, tape, cloths, electricity/gas (oven), clips etc. etc. whoever told you that it was a little extra is using an aerosol can from Bunnings. $195 (complete, all materials) is not a lot of money for a permanent solution that requires no dissassembly, is not painting and is a repair of the OEM components. If you want to charge yourself the labour, it's ~$250 all up. Yes, it is only $75, with a Rejuvination Detail. I challenge anyone to find a better product worldwide for that money that provides the same solution, i.e. permanent, non silicone based repairing of Exterior Plastics. I can understand why people would question the retail price of the product, but it is as far from a low quality product as a Bugatti Veyron is from a Morris Minor. Unfortinatley we don't offer silicone based 'dressings' that have to be re-applied and never have, we have been waiting for the technology we now have to offer a true, once applied, quality product that fits neatly into the system of quality products in our line up. We won't manufacture a low durability dressing becuase it isn't what Final Inspection do. I understand that it is $195 though and why some customers won't purchase it. It is selling very well though and some customers that were a little hesitant have reported fantastic results and have said that they are extremely happy, 1 cutomer saying he has tried everything and that it was like nothing he's seen before. I hope this helps, d.

All good, just thought i'd confirm.
FYI plenty of GTI guys have had colour coding done for about a grand, all done properly through good shops. Mr Gloss only quoted me $1400.

Remember the Caddy? That was $2K at Gloss. Just 2 bars. GTI's have less plastic to colour.
Anyway, I know the new polymer range is pricey, but it is worth it imo. When your Barina is still looking new in 2 years time and the plastics are still beading/sheeting water, think of how many applications you would have had to go through with a conventional product, the time, the cost and still not the proteciton you would have had from a coat of the FI Plastic Rejuvinator. And the FI stuff repairs, not covers in Silicone making the plastics worse. Also, the constant dresssing with silicone makes painting them in the future almost impossible as teh silicone leeches into hte plastics and doesn't allow paint to stick to the material. Hence why silicone is a painters absolute worst enemy.

These (test threads) look brilliant. Giving me all the more confidence to buy another 80's Alfa Romeo.
